We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep frontend craft who enjoys building intelligent data applications that surface insight from diagnostic data and technical content relevant to the issues our customers face.

Our Customer Experience engineers build features directly into the Snowflake product that remove the friction points which block customers and drive escalations to Snowflake technical experts. They are energised by the challenge of turning large volumes of structured and unstructured data into interfaces that make the answer obvious. In this role you will help build an industry-leading data management system that customers love.

You will own the experience layer end to end — interaction design, component architecture, rendering performance, and the data-visualisation surfaces that make complex diagnostics legible — while working comfortably down the stack into the APIs that feed them. You will grow your knowledge of, and contribute to, a robust, highly scalable, and secure enterprise SaaS and Data and AI platform serving thousands of customers and hundreds of millions of complex queries every day. You will build the interfaces that bridge the enterprise world with the consumer experience, working alongside a team of both industry veterans and rising stars.

AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE YOU WILL: Design and build the user-facing surface of our diagnostic and AI-assisted tooling in React and TypeScript , owning component architecture, state management, and the reusable patterns the team builds on Turn dense, high-cardinality diagnostic data into interactive visualisations and workflows that let a customer or an engineer find the cause of an issue in seconds rather than hours Own frontend performance and quality — rendering behaviour under large data volumes, bundle and load characteristics, accessibility, and cross-browser correctness Work down the stack where the experience demands it, shaping and extending the APIs and services behind your features across Node.js, Java, and SQL Collaborate with a cross-functional team spanning product management and design to define product vision and team planning, contributing to interaction and visual decisions rather than receiving them Deliver features requiring close coordination with multiple partner teams — pinpointing problems, instrumenting the relevant components, and implementing end-to-end solutions Design, build, and contribute to AI-powered features and diagnostic tools, navigating trade-offs around system reliability, tool failure modes, and architectural decisions Apply a deliberate personal framework for using AI tools in your daily workflow, knowing precisely when AI accelerates development and when standard engineering approaches are required Take full ownership of code quality — catching, debugging, and resolving AI-assisted tool errors before they reach production Influence and elevate your team's engineering practices by establishing norms, guides, and review policies around AI-assisted development and code review OUR IDEAL SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL HAVE: B.E. or M.E. in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, or an equivalent discipline, or equivalent practical experience 4+ years of software engineering experience building modern web applications, with a clear majority of that time spent on frontend work Deep expertise in React and TypeScript — component and state architecture, performance profiling and optimisation, and the judgement to know which abstraction a growing codebase actually needs Working proficiency in at least one backend area of our stack (Node.js, Java, or SQL), with a track record of shipping features end to end rather than handing off at the API boundary Experience building data-dense interfaces — dashboards, tables, charts, or exploratory tooling — and the visualisation libraries and rendering techniques that make them performant at scale A strong sense for interaction design and usability, and the ability to partner with designers as a peer Experience designing, shipping, or contributing to AI-powered features or LLM-integrated user experiences Practical fluency with AI-assisted development tools, backed by a clear framework for tool selection, risk mitigation, and strict quality ownership A proven track record of influencing team practices — such as conducting AI code reviews, writing team guides, or updating PR standards following quality learnings Mastery of core software engineering best practices: unit and component testing, code reviews, design documentation, and telemetry instrumentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and genuine enjoyment in building great software alongside a diverse set of peers NICE TO HAVE: Experience with design systems or shared component libraries used across multiple teams Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and building to them by default Prior work on developer tools, observability, or diagnostic products Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth.
