About the role

As a full-service engineering, design, and construction services firm, Mi-Tech delivers comprehensive support for utility and infrastructure projects from planning and design through execution. Our multidisciplinary team provides practical, innovative solutions that emphasize cost efficiency, constructability, and long-term value. Founded in 1985, Mi-Tech has built a reputation for excellence in engineering, design, environmental, laboratory, technical, and field services across multiple industries.

The 2026 merger with J.D. Hair & Associates further strengthened our capabilities and resources, adding decades of specialized expertise in trenchless, geotechnical, and structural engineering to our core offerings. As a proud member of the Michels Family of Companies, Mi-Tech collaborates with an internationally respected team to deliver integrated, end-to-end engineering, design, and construction solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

As a Water Conveyance Engineer (PE) with Mi-Tech Services, Inc., you will be responsible for the engineering design, hydraulic analysis, and construction support of pressurized water and wastewater conveyance systems, including force mains, potable water pipelines, temporary bypass pumping systems, and pressure piping associated with municipal infrastructure rehabilitation projects.

This position supports complex infrastructure and trenchless rehabilitation projects by developing hydraulic models, performing pressure and flow calculations, determining pipe sizing and material requirements, and preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. You will collaborate closely with construction and engineering teams to develop practical, constructible solutions that address operational requirements, system performance, and field conditions.

The ideal candidate brings direct, hands-on experience designing pressurized piping systems, preferably within municipal water/wastewater infrastructure, and understands the engineering considerations associated with temporary bypass systems and pipeline rehabilitation.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement based out of an approved Mi-Tech office location. In-office collaboration is strongly preferred, with additional flexibility considered based on candidate experience and business needs. Travel up to 25% may be required.
