- Ensure teams work as one engineering organization across company boundaries.
- Provide technical input into planning, estimation, prioritization, and sequencing.
- Identify and resolve technical risks and delivery blockers.
- Promote consistent practices for coding, code review, testing, CI/CD, documentation, observability, and quality.
Customer & Vendor Engagement
- Act as the primary technical counterpart for the customer.
- Represent the engineering teams in architecture, design, and technical planning discussions.
- Explain technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs clearly.
- Provide technical direction and governance to the vendor team.
- Ensure vendor contributions align with the product architecture and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Significant experience designing and delivering production software systems.
- Experience as a Technical Lead, Principal/Staff Engineer, Engineering Manager, Solution Architect, or similar role.
- Strong professional experience with the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
- Proven experience owning architecture and technical direction for a software product or platform.
- Experience leading multiple engineering teams or teams working on a shared codebase.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, integrations, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience with modern engineering practices, including source control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and production support.
- Ability to provide both strategic architectural guidance and practical implementation-level direction.
