About the role
Powering the Next Generation of AI
Building Efficient, Capable Models for Every Environment
Liquid AI is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel, Product & Regulatory to lead legal strategy at the intersection of advanced AI development and emerging regulation. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, this role partners closely with product, research, and engineering teams to guide the creation and deployment of new AI models and products.
This is a hands-on opportunity to shape how Liquid AI navigates complex, unsettled legal and regulatory landscapes. The Associate General Counsel will translate evolving requirements—such as the EU AI Act—into actionable guidance, ensuring compliance while enabling innovation. Responsibilities include advising on AI regulation, privacy, data use, intellectual property, model safety, and product claims; leading compliance efforts for new laws; and supporting commercial agreements with strategic partners.
The ideal candidate brings at least 8 years of relevant legal experience, including significant in-house work with technology product teams. A strong background in AI regulation, privacy, data governance, or intellectual property is essential, along with the ability to provide clear, practical, risk-based advice in areas where the law is still developing. Success in this role requires independent judgment, decisiveness, and a genuine interest in working directly with those building transformative technology.
