We are looking for

Application Engineer

at one of our locations in China, Taicang

Your tasks:

Take the next step in your career with us in a global innovative environment:

  • Be responsible for 3D structural layout, routing planning, fixing point arrangement, clearance verification and interference check of vehicle wiring harnesses, and deliver compliant 3D digital models and 2D engineering drawings.
  • Support OEM on-site concurrent engineering, track changes of vehicle architecture and component layout, and complete iteration, optimization and rectification of wiring harness solutions in a timely manner.
  • Verify and confirm harness data parameters, operating condition specifications and assembly positions, to avoid quality issues such as assembly deviation, incorrect data usage and routing interference, so as to reduce rework and ineffective work.
  • Liaise with the R&D, process and prototype teams of the OEM, communicate design issues, potential risks and optimization proposals, respond promptly to customer requirements and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct daily work reviews during on-site assignments, accumulate design experience, standardize data archiving, version control and change confirmation processes to ensure project delivery quality and schedule.
  • Follow project milestones, support prototype manufacturing, vehicle trial assembly, problem rectification and technical consultation on site.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in relevant majors.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in wire harness design with solid professional knowledge of wire harnesses.
  • Familiar with product development procedures and the full workflow of Volkswagen VOBES system.
  • Proficient in CATIA for harness routing design and experienced in LDorado 2D drawing software.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Basic oral English communication skills.
  • Able to align with the customer’s work schedule and deliver tasks on time; overtime may be required per customer progress.
  • Accept on-site assignment in Shanghai and surrounding areas.
