Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our organization’s critical IT infrastructure. In this role, you will oversee servers, networking hardware, virtualization platforms, and storage solutions while ensuring high performance, security, and reliability. You will also play a key role in strategic IT planning, system optimization, and ensuring compliance with organizational SLAs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or related infrastructure roles
• Extensive experience with enterprise hardware (servers, switches, routers, and storage systems)
• Advanced knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF) and network architecture design
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Proxmox) and operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS)
• Strong experience with monitoring and management tools like Zabbix
• Expertise in security protocols, including VPNs, RADIUS, and DMZ configurations
• Valid driving license in the European Union

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with IT compliance and risk management standards
