Senior Product Engineer

About the Role

Join a small product engineering team at an early-stage energy technology company. You will work closely with customers and own end-to-end engineering work on energy retail challenges, turning complex operational needs into intuitive, production-ready products.

What You'll Do

• Work directly with customers to understand their problems and guide product and engineering decisions.
• Build and ship full-stack features from discovery through production.
• Use AI-native development tools to accelerate delivery and improve your impact.
• Take ownership of zero-to-one projects, including customer billing and portal experiences.
• Prioritize initiatives, decide what to build, and stop work that is not delivering value.
• Address energy retail needs such as procurement, customer retention, and cost optimization.
• Help shape engineering culture, tools, and processes, and support team growth.

What We're Looking For

• Typically 2 to 13 years of experience, with evidence of exceptional technical ability through shipped products, founding work, research, competitions, or comparable accomplishments.
• Strong full-stack skills and experience delivering products end to end, from discovery to production.
• Comfort using AI-native coding tools as part of your development workflow.
• Fluent German at C1 level or above.
• A degree from a strong university and experience at an early-stage startup are valued.
• Experience or strong interest in energy retail, including billing, procurement, retention, or cost optimization.
• High ownership, sound judgment, and comfort working in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: EUR 80,000 to EUR 120,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

On-site in Berlin, Germany, normally five days per week.
