About the role

QED.ai (https://qed.ai) is a tech company focused on public health and food security in Sub-Saharan Africa. We build the digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence that empowers the intersection of aid and scientific inquiry, such as epidemiological surveillance, maternal-child health and control of HIV, TB, malaria, and vaccine preventable diseases. Our funding comes from philanthropic and governmental organizations such as the U.S. Department of State, Global Fund, CDC, and the Gates Foundation.

We are looking for a data engineer to assist with (a) the design of data collection forms, (b) construction of medical data processing pipelines and (c) the analysis of national-scale healthcare data. Combine your reasoning skills with empathy for others to bring voice to the untold masses struggling to receive adequate health services across the Global South. Use numbers, technology, and visualizations to build data-driven stories that will change the world.

  • Full-time employment of at least 40 hours per week.
