About the Role
People Analytics at Veeam is entering its next phase. We're investing in a stronger data foundation, expanding our analytical capabilities, and building toward AI-enabled talent intelligence.
We are now looking for a People Data Analyst who can take business questions from concept to delivery: building analytics-ready data, developing meaningful analytical solutions, and partnering directly with stakeholders to turn insights into action.
Reporting to the Director, People Transformation and Analytics, you'll work across the employee lifecycle, including headcount, attrition and retention, internal mobility, performance, compensation, and engagement.
This role goes beyond traditional reporting. You'll have the opportunity to shape how people data is structured, analyzed, and delivered while helping drive Veeam's transformation toward proactive, AI-enabled analytics.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain analytics-ready datasets using SQL, Python, and Databricks, transforming and modeling people data to support reliable, scalable analytics across the organization.
- Partner with Data Engineering and data warehouse teams to integrate new data sources, including Workday and Greenhouse, defining data requirements and owning the curation of analytical datasets.
- Design, develop, and maintain analytical solutions, including Tableau and Databricks dashboards, AI-powered applications, conversational interfaces, and automated insight delivery through platforms such as Microsoft Teams and email.
- Deliver operational people intelligence by tracking and analyzing key workforce metrics, including headcount, hiring, attrition, retention, internal mobility, promotions, organizational structure, and representation trends.
- Lead analytical projects end to end, from scoping and data preparation to analysis, visualization, and stakeholder presentations, covering topics such as attrition root causes, promotion equity, workforce segmentation, and onboarding effectiveness.
- Proactively identify workforce trends, emerging risks, and opportunities, translating complex findings into actionable recommendations that support business decisions.
- Collaborate directly with People & Culture leaders and business stakeholders to understand their needs, clarify ambiguous requests, recommend analytical approaches, and ensure insights drive measurable value.
- Leverage AI tools to improve analytical workflows, accelerate delivery, and contribute to the development of AI-enabled people analytics capabilities.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance by maintaining trusted metric definitions, performing accuracy checks, and protecting sensitive employee information through appropriate privacy and access controls.
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or analytics engineering, with demonstrated ownership of analytical projects and deliverables from start to finish.
- Strong SQL proficiency and working knowledge of Python, including experience querying large datasets, transforming data, and developing scalable analytical solutions.
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake, with Databricks strongly preferred.
- Experience in analytics data modeling, including designing and building curated, analysis-ready datasets and tables for reporting and downstream analytical applications.
- Proven ability to build production-ready dashboards and BI solutions from the ground up using Tableau, Databricks AI/BI Dashboards, Power BI, or comparable platforms, with an understanding of calculated fields, performance optimization, and governance.
- Strong data visualization and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly and tailor insights to different audiences.
- Excellent stakeholder management, consulting, and communication skills, including the ability to translate ambiguous business questions into practical analytical solutions and provide recommendations.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, challenge assumptions, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Working knowledge of HR, recruiting, or workforce data, including an understanding of key people metrics and the importance of data privacy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated adoption of AI tools in analytical workflows, including the ability to evaluate their effectiveness, validate outputs, and identify opportunities for greater efficiency and innovation.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with HR and recruiting platforms such as Workday, Greenhouse, Qualtrics, or comparable systems is a strong plus.
- Experience developing AI-powered or data-driven applications, conversational analytics interfaces, Databricks Apps, or automated insight delivery solutions is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis or predictive modeling, including attrition risk analysis, workforce forecasting, or anomaly detection, is a plus.
- Previous exposure to workforce planning, HR analytics, organizational effectiveness, data governance, or security models for sensitive information is an advantage.
What You’ll Get
- Comprehensive Health Coverage – Fully employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents, including virtual care services
- Wellbeing & Mental Health Support – Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that includes confidential therapy sessions, plus legal and financial counseling services
- Financial Protection Benefits – Company-provided life and disability insurance to help support employees and their families
