About the Role

We’re hiring a product-focused Software Engineer to build voice AI experiences that help patients get the care they need.

This is a full-stack role with a strong backend focus. You’ll work across backend services, AI systems, integrations, and voice stack, owning features from understanding the customer problem through launch and improvement. You’ll partner closely with product and engineering to make conversations more useful, responsive, and reliable.

We welcome engineers with 2+ years of professional experience, including more senior candidates.

What You'll Do

  • Build and ship voice AI features and patient workflows end to end.
  • Develop backend services and integrations that let agents retrieve information and take actions.
  • Improve conversation behavior, latency, and reliability across the voice and AI stack.
  • Use production conversations and customer feedback to improve the experience.
  • Own testing, monitoring, and production debugging for your features.

What We're Looking For

This role requires at least 2 years of full-time professional software engineering experience. Internships, coursework, and personal projects do not meet this requirement. Please apply only if you meet this minimum.

Required

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience shipping and maintaining production software used by real customers.
  • Strong backend engineering skills, including APIs, services, and data modeling.
  • Product judgment: you understand customer needs, clarify ambiguous requirements, and make practical tradeoffs.
  • Ability to independently deliver features, investigate production issues, and collaborate closely with product and engineering.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building applications with LLMs or AI agents.
  • Experience with voice, streaming, or real-time systems.
  • Experience at an early-stage startup.
