Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Spend

How you'll make impact

Spend is building the financial operating layer for modern businesses, and this role will help ensure its systems remain reliable as the product grows. You'll own the reliability foundations that support critical spend-management workflows.

• Own the reliability, availability, and performance of the systems powering Airwallex's spend-management products.
• Build and operate scalable infrastructure, observability, and automation that help engineering teams ship safely and recover quickly from incidents.
• Partner closely with product and engineering teams to improve resilience across corporate cards, expenses, bills, and procurement workflows.
• Drive operational excellence through thoughtful incident response, proactive risk reduction, and continuous improvement.

You'll work from our Singapore office at 1 Wallich St, #20-01 Guoco Tower, Singapore 078881 five days a week.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in site reliability engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or a closely related role.
• Experience operating production systems and improving their reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, observability, incident response, and automation.
• A practical approach to diagnosing complex problems and preventing them from recurring.

The Spend team builds Airwallex's financial operating layer for modern businesses, bringing together corporate cards, expenses, bills, and procurement on top of our accounts, payments, and issuing infrastructure. We're building AI that makes real decisions about expenses, policies, and payments, aiming to get 95%+ of submissions down to one click, while every workflow still has to hold up across multi-entity businesses, currencies, and audit trails. This is a team for people who want broad ownership across product, data, and AI, while the roadmap is still being defined.
