About the role

Full-Stack Developer

Position Type: Remote
Location: U.S. Business Hours

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled, self-driven Full-Stack Developer to build, maintain, and improve product features across both front-end and back-end systems.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of features from initial design through deployment, collaborate with other engineers, and contribute to a reliable, scalable codebase. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with proactive communication, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to deliver high-quality work without constant supervision.

What You’ll Own

Full-Stack Development

  • Build, maintain, and improve features across front-end and back-end systems.
  • Write clean, well-tested, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Work with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, or equivalent technologies.

Feature Development & Ownership

  • Take ownership of features from initial design and development through deployment.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to define requirements and deliver solutions aligned with product goals.
  • Manage development tasks effectively to ensure timely delivery.

Code Quality & Reviews

  • Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards.
  • Follow collaborative development practices, including Git workflows and pull requests.
  • Contribute to a codebase that is reliable, maintainable, and easy for the team to work with.

Bug Triage & Resolution

  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues across the technology stack.
  • Prioritize fixes based on user needs and business impact.
  • Support testing, deployment, and post-release monitoring.

Technical Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineers and stakeholders to scope requirements and evaluate technical tradeoffs.
  • Communicate progress, raise blockers early, and ask clarifying questions when requirements are unclear.
  • Balance rapid delivery with long-term maintainability and product quality.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer, with a track record of delivering production-ready features.
  • Proficiency in modern front-end technologies such as React, Vue, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Experience with back-end frameworks and server-side development.
  • Solid understanding of databases, RESTful API design, and system integration patterns.
  • Experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues across the stack.
  • Strong written English communication skills for working effectively with a distributed team.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of deliverables.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • You can own a feature end-to-end, from initial implementation through deployment and monitoring.
  • You communicate proactively, flag blockers early, and clarify requirements before making assumptions.
  • You value code quality without allowing perfectionism to delay delivery unnecessarily.
  • You approach code reviews as opportunities to collaborate and improve.
  • You adapt to feedback, work well with others, and make thoughtful technical decisions.
  • You understand how to balance immediate product needs with long-term maintainability.

What Success Looks Like

  • Product features are delivered on time and meet agreed requirements.
  • Code is clean, tested, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Bugs are investigated and resolved according to their impact.
  • Technical risks and blockers are communicated early.
  • Code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment are consistently part of the development process.
  • The team can rely on you to take ownership and deliver with minimal supervision.

Typical Day

Your day will focus on building and improving the product. You may start by reviewing open pull requests, then move into focused development work on a feature or bug fix. Throughout the day, you’ll communicate progress and blockers asynchronously, collaborate with teammates on technical decisions, and contribute to testing, deployments, and documentation.
