About the role

Who we are

We’re bold thinkers and kind teammates, growing fast but staying grounded. Our Nordic roots and global outlook shape a culture of friendliness, creativity, and collaboration, all powered by openness and shared wins. We care deeply about doing the right thing - and doing it together. We aim to improve the flow of goods, time, and energy - and we know we can’t shape the future by clinging to the past. So, we keep evolving, together.

What we do

RELEX runs the planning decisions behind 700+ retailers and manufacturers worldwide, deciding, at real scale, what gets forecast, stocked, priced, promoted, and produced across the entire value chain. Few problems combine this much data, this much complexity, and this much real-world weight: get it right and a shelf stays stocked, a factory line doesn’t stall, food doesn’t rot in a warehouse before it’s sold. Get it wrong, and it shows up in actual losses, for some of the largest retail and manufacturing brands in the world.

We’ve grown for 76 consecutive quarters straight, and it’s accelerating: the first half of 2026 was the strongest in the company’s history, with new contract value up 83% year over year. We’re a team of 2,000+ people, headquartered in Helsinki, with offices across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific.

In response to our fast growth and market expansion, we are looking for a Lead Product Designer to own the user experience of core platform capabilities end to end, embedded directly with the teams that build them.

You are a Lead-level designer with excellent design judgement and the skills to understand platform users’ needs and product goals. You apply agentic engineering workflows to ship features into production and contribute directly to delivering customer value. This is a hands-on role where you shape the scope of the work and are accountable for high-quality design outcomes.

The role requires understanding both the technical infrastructure behind applications and the use cases they aim to solve. Being part of the platform department calls for systemic thinking and solutions that scale to broader use cases and needs.

This role reports into Platform Engineering and is part of the Design Excellence community of 15+ designers across RELEX.

What we need you to do and be

Bring your ideas. Challenge ours. Grow with us.

  • Own the user experience of Core Platform application's configuration end to end, embedded in the team that builds it
  • Work daily with engineers: talk an idea through, review the first build, and bring it up to production quality, and prototype new features with agentic tools
  • Contribute directly to code, combining design judgment with AI-assisted development to ship to production
  • Work with the internal builders who use the platform to shape the team’s direction and keep the UI consistent with the main product
  • Cover design quality for both UX and UI for the team, so craft and quality are yours to set and keep

What you’ll bring to the table

Our five values are our playbook. We speak up when things don’t make sense. We stop doing what doesn’t add value. We stay curious, back each other up, and make space for both innovation and laughter.

  • Strong product design thinking and execution: have a clear approach on identifying what to build, with good quality
  • Systems thinking and information architecture: ability to learn a complex platform quickly
  • Research skills in technical domains: experience working with technical, business-first internal users
  • Hands-on contribution to shipped solutions: you contribute to working front-end code and are comfortable with agentic and AI-assisted development
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build structure in a fast-moving environment
  • Interest in building tools for the people who build, and in AI-assisted development
  • Strong collaboration with engineering, product and design, and the ability to challenge assumptions with evidence
  • Fast learning and a proactive, self-managing way of working
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

As a bonus

  • Experience in AI-assisted workflows
  • Experience with plugins, extensions or platform tooling
  • Have worked on platform teams or building applications to enables others to build

What we offer in return

You’ll be supported and given the space to thrive. We offer meaningful work, flexibility, and a culture that backs you to share your voice and be authentic.

  • An international career and learning opportunities in a fast-growing, financially robust software company
  • A rapidly growing and financially robust software company with exciting opportunities for career growth, also in the future
  • Practical benefits that support work, family, wellness and everyday life, and annual leave
  • A diverse, inclusive and supportive work culture, with ownership, autonomy and flat hierarchies
  • Work that reduces waste and improves sustainability
  • Real ownership of an area end to end, close to the team that builds it. You decide how it looks, works and ships.

We are a global community of different cultures, voices, and experiences. We celebrate what makes us unique and connect through what we share, in an authentic and safe environment. Together we shape the future, and each other.

Please note that to be considered for this position, you must be fluent in English, be based in Finland and hold a valid work permit for your country of residence. We’re excited to connect with applicants who meet these criteria and share our passion to do hard things, trust each other, and build what’s next for the product, the planet, and the people.

If you feel this is the opportunity you don’t want to miss, you can apply by sending your resume and portfolio through the application form as soon as possible.

Apply today and be part of the future. Be RELEX!
