Web Designer

Avam is an applied and materials sciences company developing biology, chemistry, and materials science products for testing, research, manufacturing, and cleaner energy applications. Our digital presence plays an important role in how customers, partners, and collaborators engage with our work across a range of technical and product-focused audiences.

This role will help shape clear, compelling digital experiences that reflect Avam’s brand and make complex information easier to understand. As a Web Designer, you will work across product, marketing, and scientific content to create polished, effective web experiences that support launches, campaigns, and ongoing brand consistency.

Responsibilities

• Design responsive web pages from initial concepts through polished, production-ready layouts.
• Create landing pages and digital assets supporting product launches and campaigns.
• Maintain consistent visual design across Avam’s websites and digital brand touchpoints.
• Collaborate with marketing and scientific teams to present technical content clearly.
• Improve website usability, accessibility, performance, and mobile responsiveness across devices.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional web or digital design experience.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating responsive layouts, typography, and visual design skills.
• Proficiency with both Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience collaborating with marketing teams, cross-functional partners, and scientific subject-matter experts.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience translating scientific or technical content into clear digital experiences.
• Working knowledge of accessibility principles.
• Working knowledge of responsive design principles.
