Senior Frontend Developer – AI Native Data

Role Overview

At Rehire, we are partnering with an international technology company specializing in cloud, data, and AI-driven digital solutions in the search for a Senior Frontend Developer – AI Native Data.

We are looking for a highly experienced Frontend Developer with strong expertise in React, TypeScript, D3.js, and data visualization, capable of building interactive, scalable, and AI-powered user interfaces.

The ideal candidate combines advanced frontend engineering skills with experience developing complex data-driven applications and an interest in LLM-powered interfaces, conversational AI, and agentic workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Build interactive features for data explorers, topic pages, and natural-language search interfaces.
• Design and implement advanced data visualizations using D3.js and SVG, including maps, timelines, scatter plots, and ranking tables.
• Develop interactive visualization features such as zooming, brushing, tooltips, and linked charts.
• Build AI-native user experiences, including conversational interfaces, streaming LLM responses, and AI-powered search.
• Create agent workflow interfaces that display execution steps, tool calls, progress indicators, and cited sources.
• Implement generative UI components that dynamically render charts, tables, and other interactive elements based on AI-generated outputs.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services through REST APIs, Flask, and Mixer APIs.
• Manage application state, including URL-based state serialization for shareable views.
• Ensure applications are responsive, accessible, and optimized for performance.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams through GitHub pull requests, code reviews, and development best practices.

Requirements:

• 8–12 years of professional experience in Frontend Development.
• Advanced proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong experience with React Hooks, state management, and component architecture.
• Experience building complex, production-grade frontend applications.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS/SCSS, Flexbox, Grid, and responsive design.
• Hands-on experience with D3.js and SVG for interactive data visualization.
• Experience developing dashboards, charts, or data exploration interfaces.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST/JSON APIs.
• Strong understanding of client-side state management and URL serialization.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards, including WCAG.
• Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, and frontend testing practices.
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub, and pull request workflows.
• Professional English communication skills.
• Availability to work 100% onsite in Guadalajara, Mexico, five days per week.

Nice to have:

• Experience developing LLM-powered applications, including AI chat interfaces, copilots, conversational search, or AI agents.
• Knowledge of Agentic UX, including human-in-the-loop approvals, multi-step workflows, progress tracking, and cited AI responses.
• Experience with Gemini API, Google Agent Development Kit (ADK), or Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and evaluating AI feature quality, latency, and user feedback.
• Experience with Python, Flask, gRPC, or Protocol Buffers.
• Knowledge of knowledge graphs, Schema.org, JSON-LD, RDF, or related technologies.
• Experience with Webpack, npm, yarn, or Bazel.
• Familiarity with Percy, end-to-end testing, and automated testing environments.
• Experience with Docker, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Contributions to open-source projects.

About the Position:

• Location: Mexico, Guadalajara.
• Work Model: 100% Onsite.
• Engagement Type: Contractor.
• Contract Duration: 12 months.
