  • Develops reports and dashboards for client project management, operations, and safety audiences
  • Designs clear, action-oriented visuals that users can interpret without training
  • Maintains models in source control with consistent naming and documentation
  • Submits model changes for Director review before production release

Data Preparation & Quality

  • Builds gold-layer tables for reporting using Python notebooks and Dataflows Gen2, following the set standards
  • Helps lead data cleanup and standardization initiatives, including defining standards, resolving discrepancies across systems, and working with business data owners to drive corrections at the source
  • Performs data quality checks and reconciliation across client source systems (e.g., ERP, HR/payroll, field systems)
  • Monitors refresh reliability, troubleshoots failures, and documents fixes
  • Supports bronze and silver pipeline work as assigned

Small Projects & Solution Delivery

  • Owns an assigned queue of small client projects from scoping through delivery
  • Recommends and implements solutions that fit each business need, using the appropriate platform (e.g., Power Apps, SharePoint, Dataverse, Power Automate, other low-code tools, or custom code)
  • Automates recurring manual processes
  • Builds API integrations with client and partner platforms as assigned, under the Director's design and standards
  • Documents each solution's design, rationale, and support requirements
  • Keeps project status current in the team's project tracking system

Documentation & Governance

  • Documents data flows, table definitions, business rules, and refresh schedules
  • Follows development/production environment, naming, and change-control standards
  • Maintains separation of client data, environments, and access
  • Supports role-based access on datasets and reports as directed

User Support

  • Serves as first point of contact for client report, data, and solution questions
  • Triages and resolves user issues, and escalates platform-level issues
  • Gathers requirements and feedback from client stakeholders
  • Creates short guides and training materials for end users
  • Supports the VP of Technology Innovation's user adoption and change management efforts for delivered solutions

AI & Emerging Technology

  • Stays current on data, BI, and AI capabilities and recommends tools that improve client solutions
  • Supports AI pilot use cases identified by the Director and the VP of Technology Innovation, grounded in business process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3–5 years of experience (internships and projects included) in BI, data, or solution development
  • Working knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and dimensional modeling
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and relational data modeling, with experience profiling, cleaning, and standardizing data
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, notebooks, Dataflows Gen2, pipelines), Azure, or comparable cloud data platforms preferred
  • Experience with low-code and workflow platforms (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Dataverse), REST APIs, and JSON preferred
  • Construction, engineering, or similarly complex industry background preferred, including exposure to construction ERP, HR, or payroll systems (e.g., Spectrum, HCSS, ADP)
  • Consulting or client-facing experience preferred
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly and select the right one for the problem
  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to work independently
