Perl Developer

You will be:

• developing and maintaining medium to large-scale applications using Perl,
• designing and implementing solutions based on OOP, MVC, and established design patterns,
• building and maintaining APIs and integrations using JSON and XML,
• working with relational databases and ORM,
• writing unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability,
• contributing to CI/CD processes and supporting continuous delivery,
• collaborating with the team throughout the full software development lifecycle.

Your profile:

• experience in software development across the full software development lifecycle,
• hands-on experience developing medium to large-scale Perl applications,
• knowledge of web-based MVC frameworks such as Mojolicious, Dancer, or Catalyst,
• strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), MVC, and design patterns,
• experience working with JSON/XML APIs and relational databases,
• familiarity with ORM tools and database integration,
• experience with Git and version control workflows,
• knowledge of unit and integration testing practices,
• familiarity with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI or Jenkins,
• practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,
• focus on writing well-designed, testable, efficient, and maintainable code,
• good command of English (min. B2).

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work.

• Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
