ServiceNow Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, configure, and support solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into reliable applications, workflows, and integrations that improve business operations and user experience.
This is a fully remote, 12-month contract engagement for professionals based in Latin America. The role requires 40 hours per week aligned with Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours, with compensation on an hourly basis according to actual hours worked.

What You Will Do
Platform Development & Configuration

• Develop and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, service catalog items, forms, and platform configurations.
• Create and enhance Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, and other platform components.

Automation & Integrations

• Build automated processes using Flow Designer and related ServiceNow capabilities.
• Develop and support integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using APIs and integration tools.
• Stakeholder Collaboration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, estimate effort, and recommend technical solutions.

Quality, Support & Maintenance

• Troubleshoot platform issues, resolve defects, and improve application performance.
• Perform testing and support deployments, platform upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow development, security, and change management standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

• Demonstrated experience developing and configuring solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including incident, problem, change, and request management.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams and using automated testing tools is a plus.
• Based in Latin America and available to work 40 hours per week during EST business hours.

Technical Expertise

• Strong JavaScript skills and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web technologies.
• Experience with ServiceNow scripting, Flow Designer, service catalog development, and access controls.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs and enterprise system integrations.
• Nice to have: experience with additional ServiceNow modules, such as ITOM, ITAM, CSM, or HRSD.
• Nice to have: familiarity with CMDB, IntegrationHub, Service Portal, or UI Builder.

Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables in a remote environment.
• Professional English proficiency for meetings, documentation, and collaboration.

Certifications (Preferred)

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD).
