About the Role
Join a small team building infrastructure for AI and machine learning products. You will own production systems that support reliable, scalable services and help the team move quickly as its products and workloads grow.
What You'll Do
- Build and operate cloud infrastructure for containerized services using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Design and maintain durable workflows for long-running jobs and other production processes.
- Develop infrastructure for AI agents and machine learning workloads, including model routing, inference, and GPU orchestration.
- Design database schemas and improve database performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Partner with product and engineering teammates to deliver infrastructure improvements from design through production.
- Use AI coding tools as part of your daily development workflow.
What We're Looking For
- Two to ten years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or backend engineering, with progression into staff, lead, or similarly advanced scope.
- Production experience managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure, and running Docker-based services.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or CDK and Temporal or a comparable durable workflow orchestrator.
- Deep production database experience, including schema design, scaling, and performance tuning; relevant technologies include Postgres, Redis, and ClickHouse.
- Experience at a startup or a combination of large-company and startup environments, with evidence of delivering systems at significant scale or handling large volumes of data.
- Daily use of AI coding tools and the ability to explain your workflow; experience with AI agent or ML infrastructure is valuable.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $200,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
