About the role

About the Role

Join an early-stage agricultural technology team building AI tools to make sense of crop, soil, weather, and farm operations data. As one of the first engineers, you will take on open-ended technical challenges and help shape the product and engineering culture.

What You'll Do

  • Build data pipelines that bring together farm data from sensors, satellite and drone imagery, weather sources, and agronomic records.
  • Train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models and the infrastructure that supports them.
  • Put product in front of growers, observe how they use it, and rapidly iterate based on feedback.
  • Help select the technical stack, establish engineering practices, and grow the team.

What We're Looking For

  • Roughly 0 to 4 years of professional experience, or equivalent evidence of strong building ability.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and/or TypeScript, with the flexibility to work across the stack.
  • A track record of shipping projects end to end, such as personal projects, research, open source work, or startup products.
  • Persistence in tackling difficult technical or personal challenges.
  • Curiosity about AI and real-world systems; prior agriculture experience is not required.
  • Experience with machine learning, computer vision, time-series data, or geospatial tools is a plus.
  • Background in agriculture, climate, food, hard tech, or an early-stage startup is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary up to $250,000 annually, plus meaningful equity. Visa sponsorship policy was not provided.

Location
