About the role

About the Role

Join an early-stage cloud infrastructure team building software that helps technology companies deploy and manage applications across cloud environments. You will take ownership of technical work from design through production and help shape the product through direct customer conversations.

What You'll Do

  • Build production-grade software across cloud infrastructure surfaces.
  • Own development end to end, from architectural design to production deployment.
  • Investigate complex issues by accessing virtual machines, analyzing logs, and tracing root causes.
  • Read open-source code to diagnose issues with third-party dependencies.
  • Work with customers directly and bring their needs into infrastructure and product decisions.
  • Propose and drive work independently in two-week project cycles, while collaborating on infrastructure challenges.

What We're Looking For

  • Five to eight years of experience building at startups, ideally including work as a founding engineer or early technical hire.
  • A record of shipping products end to end and owning production systems.
  • Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience, or strong generalist skills paired with clear enthusiasm for infrastructure.
  • Experience building software for cloud infrastructure; familiarity with networking, Kubernetes, distributed systems, or cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to debug complex systems under pressure, including through shell access and log analysis.
  • High agency and comfort working without established playbooks or processes.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $200,000 to $270,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site, five days per week in New York City, New York. Candidates should be based in or willing to relocate to the area.
