About the role

About the Role

Lead the design and operation of a production data platform for a procurement technology product. This hands-on technical leadership role connects enterprise data sources to reliable analytics, working closely with product and engineering colleagues and customer IT teams.

What You'll Do

  • Design multi-tenant architecture and reusable data models with strong tenant isolation and appropriate access controls.
  • Build data cleaning, reconciliation, and analytical calculations for spend analysis, supplier comparisons, and simulations.
  • Develop repeatable integrations and synchronization patterns for enterprise systems, including ERPs.
  • Own ingestion, orchestration, monitoring, and recovery for production data workflows.
  • Create tools and processes that make data onboarding, troubleshooting, and analytics development more efficient.
  • Use and evaluate AI development tools to improve engineering workflows.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 5 years of experience building production data systems, including ownership of architecture and implementation.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in data modeling and query optimization.
  • Practical experience designing multi-tenant systems with data isolation and access controls.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems and working directly with customer IT teams on schemas, APIs, permissions, and synchronization.
  • Experience operating ingestion, orchestration, monitoring, and recovery in production.
  • Background in data-intensive B2B SaaS or fintech is useful; procurement experience is not required.

On-site in Berlin, Germany. Candidates should be based in Berlin or willing to relocate.
